Lashinda is one of the Best 400m Hurdlers in American History. In 2001 she won gold at the World Junior Championships. In 2005 and 2009 she won silver in the 400H at the World Championships. She was also part of the winning 4x400m Relay at the 2009 World Championships for the USA. In 2006 she held the world's fasest time for her signature event, but 2009 was her best year to date. Despite being beaten by Melanie Walker at the World Champs, she became the 4th fastest 400m hurdler in history earlier that summer running 52.63 in Monaco.
