allow the spectators (fans) on the field the final lap to watch the finish...especially from the concession stand fence area.....just have volunteers put up a cheap rope, flags, and pylons after the runners go by....that way spectators can watch the finish without binoculars! I hope you know what I mean?...just have a long line where fans can inter the in field but stay behind a small barrier......most other XC races allow this?...at least try it once!
