This followed a stellar 2005 season where Torres set a new PR in the 5,000 and qualified for both the 12k and 4k world cross country teams. At worlds in 2005 Torres finished 13th in the 4k race to lead the US team. In 2003 Torres made his first world team in the 5,000 meters and qualified for the final, this performance earned Jorge his first US # 1 ranking. Torres had a stellar collegiate career at the University of Colorado, where he was an NCAA champ, two-time runner up, and seven-time All-American. Torres? only national championship was his final cross-country season where he out kicked Arkansas? Alistair Craig.

That's so funny, "2008 Olympian" as one of his goals in 6th grade, awesome. "Go out for the win" great advice...I like what he had to say about the "synergy of a group" for his training, and giving credit to them. also, about taking things for granted, his experience that happened in 2003, and that he knew he would "get back up there." and he said, "I never lost the vision of my dream." "There's more disappointments than there are ups in this sport."
