Illinois has Lukas Verzbicas, NJ doesn't have any high school national record holders or world champions. Illinois could also have three teams in the top ten at NXN nats with York, Neuqua Valley, and Loyola. Chris Derrick, Evan Jager, Jorge Torres, Craig Virgin all came out of Illinois.

They remind me a lot of the Miller twins (Craig and Brad). Both sets of twins are gingers, have decent muscles builds, and are awkward in interviews. Best of luck to them.

No way. Look. We have Joe and Jim Rosa, Dave Oster, Tyler Udland, Boo Vitez, Mike Mazzacoro, Patrick Schellberg, Morgan Pearson all sub 15:50 on Holmdel. At leat NJ runs 5k instead of flat 3mile courses. No course in IL is anything compare to Holmdel. We also have CBA, Don Bosco and Haddonfield and Mark Wetmore came out of NJ. NJ XC!!!

They are running machines!!! I ran in the MOC race in NJ so i could not see them run but I saw videos of the race and they destroy everyone in the race. My friends and I think if I ran a 17:19 and Joe ran a 14:56 he was around a half a mile ahead of me. LOL. NJ is an amazing running state. Best in the US!!!

"Are you kidding? They like the competitive individual stuff, but they went nxn because they're team had a shot at qualifying, sure it was an outside shot but still a shot none the less. If you watch the video of the race they're 3rd man (Jon Squeri) was doing well and in very good position with about a mile to go, he fell off a bit that mile but still a solid finish. I'm not sure on how their fourth and fifth did but they did end up 4th place which still isn't bad. As you can see in the team results there were some surprises they were hoping they would be one of them, but it didn't work out that way. They had to at least give themselves the chance to qualify though, and now Jim and Joe will still run, although it would be exciting to see them in footlocker, I'm gonna have to say they made the best and fairest decision they could here, and they're only juniors so we'll see what happens next year."
