Poor Paula, I felt so bad for her. She was clearly in a lot of pain. She demands so much of herself, and you could tell that she was just so disappointed in her performance. But there's nothing you can do in a situation like that, you can't control your femoral nerve shutting your leg down, no matter how in shape you are. We love ya Paula, no doubt you'll be back in top form in no time.
PS: LOL to the poster her called Paula "middle-aged" below. Middle aged is late 40's, early 50's. Female distance runners don't physically peak until mid to late 30's. She's in her prime, and no where CLOSE to "middle aged". I'm still not counting her out of breaking her own world record just yet either. I predict great things for her in London 2012, on her home turf. What I wouldn't give for her to run for the American flag... those lucky Brits don't know what they've got!
she's been like a positive XC/Human icon
by that i mean so far of what i know about her,
P Radcliffe has been using nothing but the God given
talent hes given to all of us. Nothing.
i mean how old is she 34, 35? a mid-age women
with aa plethora of achievements. absolute legend.
