german was actually tired at the end of that race. I've never seen him look that stressed after a race....maybe he's human.

Does anyone know what the last 800 of the race was? It too must have been very fast! Could it have been 1:52 or 1:53? Wow, what a finish.

German is such a promising up and comer, if he stays smart and healthy he'll make teams in the future, no doubt about it. I guess he'll have to settle for a junior record, lol, what a wicked race that was.

German Fernandez did excellent in this race. Even though he didn't actually make the team, but his overall performance was great.

Did he beat Chris Derrick's recent record which was broken a couple of weeks ago?

Michael, I'm not 100% certain, but I believe that OTC Elite is sponsored primarily by Nike.

Great race. While there were a lot of dramatic races, I think this one was my favorite!

Where have u been for the past year. Jerry Schumacher is his coach, and he moved out to Portland. Teg made the move with him. They then joined the Oregon TC

yeah but they were not all from the same training group. symmonds and smith were from OTC and wheating was from Oregon. same state not team. they didnt train in the same group. but all these guys are from portland and badgers. great race. especially jager. wow. i ran against him in the heartland for footlocker regionals where he didnt qualify but he to think he would get this. wow

Tasty Race of the Week this week comes from the USA Outdoor Championships in Eugene. Not sure when the last time 3 athletes from the same training group made the World team in the same event, but we saw it this past weekend! Congrats to Jerry and the boys up in P-town....
