- See Less -Even though he was a seven-time All-American at the University of Wisconsin, Matt Tegenkamp never could put together a full year of consistent training or he might have been a NCAA champ multiple times. Only one year after he graduated from Wisconsin, Tegenkamp rose to the top of US distance running. After years of battling injuries, the 2006 season was a dream season for Tegenkamp as he was finally able to put in consistent training. Persistent dedication combined with lessons learned during the Wisconsin years paid off big time in 2006; Tegenkamp opened eyes not only stateside, but all over the globe. After his 13:04 for the 5,000m in Stockholm, Tegenkamp can almost taste a sub-13 minute 5,000m. He also achieved his best 3,000m finish with a 7:34?..all of these during the summer of 2006.
GREAT run by Teg! Even my kids were yelling GO TEG! during the live broadcast yesterday. Hilarious.
Barrios was running almost in lane 2, passing a few guys, don't think it's that fast at that time of the race, as a fact that second km was the slowest of the entire race...
"not super fast because barrios is up there?" sounds a bit biased again!
and its JAGER, D-Will.
NO FEAR!!!
