She still has two visits to go. No decision until then. But back to Jordan being picked as number one by Flotrack this year, I always keep her performances in context. How is she doing compared to Flannagan or Goucher, or any other athlete when they were her age? You have to go back and do a little history research, but when the math is all done, the numbers all crunched, this wasn't a hard choice to make. I had to think back to Orange, California in the early 70's to come up with an honest comparison. Mary Decker!

Jimmy Davis January 5 at 10:35pm.
I would have to go Phelps because he won more than all those fools!!!!!!!
#23
German Fernandez January 5 at 10:35pm.
Even If I got 3rd I still don't deserve it because all I did was HS record which Hasay also has, HS double which Hasay has surpassed with her Trials/World Jrs/9:52/4:14, and 3rd is still no go because of Hasay's 4x state champion, 4x FLW champ, 2x FLN champ (which I choked big time on.. but hey I forgot my spikes)!

Give it to Jordan or Usain.
#22
Usain Bolt January 5 at 10:10pm.
What do I have to do to get some love on this site. That's it I'm running cross at Oregon, Washington, and Texas next year mon. Then to prove a point I'm going to run through the 100m line in 9.45 and finish the mile in 10:00 just so I can be in a distance category to get some love. Yeah Mon!

If I can't win because NBC won't give you my vids give me a call and I'll hook you up.
Also, how about the Jamaican sprint team for team of the year? How many medals did we win compared to the Americans? Ha Ha Ha!

BIGTEX January 5 at 9:38pm.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I CANT BELIVE YALL PICK HASAY...i mean she was a reasonable 2nd or 3rd... but it was clearly Usain Bolt alllll the way...then either German or Hasay....if german would have fnshd 3rd at nats it would haave easily gotten him 2nd

Taylor January 5 at 9:04pm.
Yeah your right Jose, shes not that good. She is just one of the most (if not the most) decorated HS athletes ever not to mention what she did at the Olympic Trials while she was still in high school. Seriously dude get a life, Jordan Hasay is the definition of an "Amazing" runner. She will do great things for U.S. running.

Entering My Name January 5 at 9:02pm.
If Hasay attends Washington, that will be crazy. They will seriously be NCAA champions for the next 3-4 years with her, Kendra Schaaf (who can probably beat Hasay now), Christine Bab (who is on the same level as Hasay), Mel Lawrence, etc.

One thing is Bab who was right with Hasay last year went to Washington and has done so well. But what happened to Laurynne Chetelat, the girl who also stayed with Jordan at the state meet and lost to her by less than a second? She was well behind Bab and somewhere in the 60s which is still good but not what you'd expect..

She's So Likable January 5 at 8:51pm.
Congratulations to Jordan. What a great representative for our sport. She's the kind of person that coaches stay in coaching for and the kind of person who draws others into our sport. Thanks Flotrack.

Great Choice! January 5 at 8:50pm.
Nice, Flotrack, great choice! She is also the first person, male or female, to win her regional Footlocker race 4 times in a row.

Her resume ranks better than many, many runners in the nation and she completely deserves this. I think you guys also have to realize she's also a high schooler who has had lots of pressure on her and has lived up to it.
She will have plenty of athletes to train with at Washington but Stanford is closeby.. We'll see, but expect great things this year and next year.

David Williams January 5 at 8:35pm.
