I am not sure what you parents were raised on, but unless you are an olympic caliber athlete, they must have inferior genetics to Alan's parents. Especially when it comes to spelling. reply

#23	Genetics In Running October 2, 2007 at 1:42pm After seeing alans mom at the finish I realized genetics has nothing to do with good running. Even if your family tree was raised on big macs and soap opears it will not effect your running if you train hard. reply

#2	Rump Roast September 29, 2007 at 12:27pm WOW was not expecting Pat Tarpy to hang on like that!!! Very surprising. Lukezic should had watched Alan more closely. Kevin Sullivan ran an excellent race and so did Barros. Barros should have done 1500 instead of 5000 at worlds even though he did make it to the finals (correct if wrong). Rankin (black dude) ran hard to. Your going to be hearing about Tarpy and Rankin more often in the near future. The only other american I would have liked to see there is Leo Manzano who ran 1500 at Texas. That would have made things interesting. Great race. reply

Bio:	Kevin Sullivan is one of the best athletes to ever come out of Canada. His talent was apparent early in life when he ran a 1:53 in the 8th grade. His talent was apparent early in life when he ran a 1:53 in the 8th grade. When Sullivan got to high school his times came down even… + See More - See Less - Kevin Sullivan is one of the best athletes to ever come out of Canada. His talent was apparent early in life when he ran a 1:53 in the 8th grade. When Sullivan got to high school his times came down even faster; before he graduated he ran a sub-four minute mile and 3:39 for the 1500. Sullivan went south of the Canadian border for college and enrolled at the University of Michigan. As a Wolverine, Sullivan dominated the NCAA; he racked up 14 All-American honors and won four NCAA titles (one relay and three individual). After college, Sullivan?s success continued and he continued to set records. As a professional, Sullivan has competed in two Olympics (2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens). In 2000 he finished 5th in the 1500. Sullivan also holds the record for the 1500 in Canada with a time of 3:31.71. Sullivan plans to compete until at least the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
