the race he's talking about is in seattle on feb 14. Anyone in the area should go. Also his injury at nationals was a strained achilles tendon. Im friends with german and for as good as he is he is so humble. I cant imagine what he will do in the next 3 yrs. GO POKES!!!

Good interview. I wish you would have asked him what the injury was that caused him to drop out of NCAA XC last fall. Maybe in a follow up.

when you think about it the jr xc team should be pretty sick.. I am gonna make the assumption of the 3 OSU boys along with Luke and Derrick make the squad... and if German took 25th last year, then add in Luke and Derrick that is gonna be freakin sweet

The Cross Country Championships are on Feb. 7th and the next Dempsey Indoor meet after that is on Feb. 14th. I bet that is the one he's referring to. I'm there! Maybe some of the Eugene/Portland guys will show too.

Great interview! Calm, focused and totally realistic. You can see that he is
clear-headed about the future and just going with the flow. Isn’t it amazing how things often come to us, when we’re not even looking. Great race!
