She should have started that crazy move at the 1 mile mark.

If someone would have worked on that McLaughlin girl's form, she might have won the race - gutsy (maybe stupid) race just the same. She wasted an incredible amount of energy. Compare Hasay's efficiency - or find a Shannon Rowbury (sp?) video.

To Tony Payne below: Jordan left late??? She won the race. I would say she timed everything pretty much perfect.

Allie needs to work on that arm movement a little bit but other than that very impressive/gutsy race.

Allie's turnover was staggering, it looked like she was sprinting the whole way. Great race, makes up for how much of a stinker the guys race was.

Coming down that final hill was like watching a snake coil up, ready to strike and eat two mice alive. And she did. Congrats again, Jordan.

I like the smoothness. But, if this is high quality, I'd like to see what low quality is!

Wow, Jordan left it a little late huh? She was either feeling bad for a while or she's SUPER calm and mature and has grown immensely in the previous year...which would also have to indicate she's extremely confident in her finishing ability. But when she made that move, god she looked like a runaway freight train.

I did not notice the heel striking on McGloughlin because I could not get past her arms crossing in front of her ( quite surprised she ran as fast as she did ). Remember she is reletively new to this sport and when she gets to college hopefully they will fix her form errors, then watch out!

For comparison - the LARGEST Cross Country Meet in North America (OFSAA - The Ontario Championships ) Approximately 90% of Canadian NCAA runners competed in OFSAA.

Winner Jessica Perry - less than a month after finishing 2nd at world youth 800m (2:06) championships - wins the senior girls race (4915m)

That race was som ething to cheer about for all the runners. My heart sank as Allie M. started to slow down at the end. Am happy for the winners but really hoped Allie could have crossed by a second faster than the rest. her strategy was just not as good as the strategy that Jordan H. implemented. Thanks for the coverage.

Good lord, what a race by Allie M. Gutsy move to take the lead out like that.

Granted Hasay did the exact same thing last year with the same result, but still... to go out and take on three national champions head on and make them race for it. Her stock went waaaay up in my book today.

What the Heck! Timmy Turner down the street could film better then that. This is Footlocker's 30th. You think they could have spent an extra hundred bucks and got a film crew that knew what they were doing. The race itself was probably amazing. Wish could seen with t the ch iness in the vi and dio.
