To Dear FloTrack.org...................did you really need Ryan to explain that video to you? Did you need his approval of the obvious?
If whoever called the race said a purple elephant was in third place and moving up fast, would you have believed that?
Poster #35 How dumb do you feel now? I don't THINK what happened, I know, but you obviously didn't. You failed with your short essay. Good Day!
Nice site Ryan and keep up the good work. Congrads on the recent 2:30 plus marathon.
The guy, Coe, never ran into the second lane, period. You people are listening to the announcer's comments and thinking that you're seeing what you're hearing him say, but your eyes should tell you all you need to know. He never pushed him or drove him to the outside.
Wow, pugetsoundhound was the only person on the whole thread besides me to see what really happened and post it. You people can't be very educated. It's as easy as opening your eyes. You have my pity!
Thanks for the announcing Mark and for the great site, but you called that wrong. Look at it again. Coe did not run him wide. He was in the center of his lane, period. You should NOT have made that comment during the race and probably didn't mean to do so.
Personally, I would retrack it ASAP. Again, look at it again. Coe is running in the center of his lane all the way down the back stretch. He never pushed German wide. He was not running on the extreme inside and then jumped out to the middle of his lane. I've watched it several times and can't see what you're talking about. Sorry Mark, you called that one wrong.
They both ran great, but Coe did nothing wrong or even close to it. Look at 57 seconds into the video and German is in the center of lane one when Coe passes him. What's the difference?
Coe NEVER went wide Mark. You make great videos and a lot of great calls, but not that one.
Congrats to both German and Michael.
Great racing!
Especially in Europe.
This was great race, great tactic and the better man, on this day, won.
Some of you youngins need a little seasoning it seems.
Regardless I'm glad to see Coe back in good form and German continue to show that he's an amazing talent! The future of American distance running looks very bright indeed!
Just slightly...
Nice job German.
