That was because he was injured. If you look at his interviews, you'd see that. He is still a great runner, and if he decides to stick with it until 2012, he might be a force again.

lagat didn't compete well at all in the olympics since he's been an american.

Hey German, I'm on your side 100% of the way. I believe you might be the first American (other then Lagat, kidna) in a long time to actually compete in an Olympics, and I know you'll have an awesome future. Great race dude!
