I don't think he's "timid", he's just not obliviously loud and brash.
Mark was all but wispering b/c I assume they are in a public place where reasonable, cultured people don't shout and beat their chests.

I like the "finger in your face" comment. THAT wasn't timid either.
Go Nate. Go Sully. Go Canada.

Nate Brannen on 1st Olympics

Nate Brannen didn't make the Olympics in 2004. This year Canada gave him a shot to "chase" the A standard to qualify for the games. He was able to hit the mark and now he's in Beijing. Nick talks about battling back from surgery and the road he traveled to get back to form. He now knows the task at hand and his goal is making that 1500m final.
