This is really a great interview. After hearing Kevin Hanson I can see how the Hansons project has been so successful, and the insight into Brian Sell was terrific. Thanks Flotrack, and Go Brian!

Brian Sell once had a workout where he didn't hit all of his targeted splits. His watch then promptly realized its own error and corrected itself.

Brian Sell doesn't get broken ribs. Broken ribs get a case of Brian Sell which ruins their week and leaves them an awful rash.

That was one of Sell's trained monkeys that was cutting the grass. Sell was in the background drinking a Bud and chewing some Beech-nut.

I'm surprised you couldn't here the Hank Williams Jr playing in the background.

Plus, Sell uses hand shears to cut grass, not a lawn mower. And once he is done, he gets down on his knees and tilts his head so that it is even with the grass and he checks to make sure all of his hand cutting of the grass is level. And if the grass for some reason isn't all level, the grass cuts itself to make sure it is level for Sell.

Brian Sell doesn't cut grass, he removes chunks of the earth.

Brian Sell isn't injured by 150miles per week, Brian Sell injures 150 mile weeks.

Poor attempt by me.

Exactly. It seems most of the time that talent isn't just being good. Rather it's having the "structure" which allows these runners to work hard and not get hurt. 150 mpw takes hard work, everyone agrees with that. But it also requires talent.

Also, a sidenote, there should be a Chuck Norris-type website for Brian Sell. The first fact about Sell is from Kevin Hanson in this video "Brian Sell gets hurt, he just doesn't know it."
