Dathan is the man, I love his comments on training when injured, something everyone has to face. He is a great inspiration for us long distance athletes. Dathan will put up the best performance of his life at the marathon distance at the olympics. Good luck to Ryan, Brian, and Dathan!

Brad Hudson

Shoe Regimen

July 17, 2008
Back on November 3, 2007 Dathan Ritzenhein did more than show up and run to finish 2nd and punch his ticket to Beijing. For Ritzenhein, the performance was the outcome of months of preparation and fine tuning on every aspect of his abilities.

During an expo at the Eugene Marathon back in May, the duo spoke at length about the training for the trials and ultimately, the 2008 Summer Olympics. In this discussion, Dathan explains his shoe regimen for his training and Brad discusses the infamous anti-gravity treadmill. You can get your own for a small fee.

This is the fourth part of an hour-long talk filmed on May 2nd, 2008 by Kevin Danaher.
