dont sleep on dathan to get top five or even medal in the marathon. its going to be painfully slow which opens up doors for sell and dathan. dathan is a true warrior and if you see Lel, wanijru, cheriyot, hall and that swiss guy in a break, don't be surprised to see dathan pursueing or with the group. Hes a real fighter and I'll be routing for you.

Beijing Pollution

August 5, 2008

Back on November 3, 2007 Dathan Ritzenhein did more than show up and run to finish 2nd and punch his ticket to Beijing. For Ritzenhein, the performance was the outcome of months of preparation and fine tuning on every aspect of his abilities.

During an expo at the Eugene Marathon back in May, the duo spoke at length about the training for the trials and ultimately, the 2008 Summer Olympics. In this discussion, Dathan and Brad discuss the question of pollution in Beijing, running the 10k at the trials versus the marathon in the Olympics, Ryan Hall, and what specific type of gels Dathan uses while training and competing. .

This is the final part of an hour-long talk filmed on May 2nd, 2008 by Flotrack's Kevin Danaher.
