The way Mr. Manzano pulled away the last 100 left me in pure amazement....that was just insane, man! This guy should wear an "S" on his chest...OK, well maybe after he makes the O-team. I thought he was trully doomed leading the whole race like that, especially a little guy (albeit w/ large you-know-whats), but as he held off one and then another-- I knew there was no way, short of an atomic bomb, he was going to let anyone get past him! This guy has serious Olympic potential! What an awesome race!
This has to have been the most beautifully run 1500 meters I have ever witnessed. I was a miler in high school - Eugene, Or 63-65 and Honolulu
(Roosevelt H.S.) 65-66. I know what the pain is like being in the lead and having to fight off those who are trying to pass you (most of them did).
Leo - hope to watch you in the Olympics my friend. God Speed.

Man, thanks for the YouTube link. After watching that race, Leo is definitely top three in the US right now. I'm still not convinced he can out kick Lagat right now, however Webb has to bring his A game or he might not make the team. Can't believe Leo took on a handful of moves from guys and broke everyone and still had another gear to separate after turn 4. I'll tell ya`ll one thing, its gonna be a heck of a 1500 in Oregon. Love this sport!
I said he would win it.Guys came at him 3 or 4 times and every time he held them off.How many gears does he really have? I wish him well at the trials.God will go with him as he attempts to make this team.
That was the ballsiest race I've ever seen! Here's a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQQ6jqqnBFA.. Leo looks like he's peaking just in time for Trials. I'm gonna be there!

I think more of us Latino American's can excel in track, we seem to be good at it. I think that we need somebody like Leo to bring more popularity to the sport for us, in my neighborhood all we play is baseball, soccer, and boxing. I hope Leo pulls off some magic in Eugene this month and makes the team so he can go to Beijing.

I think just changing potentially offensive words to "*"s would work better than just wholly deleting them! Although it does make for some unique looking messages.
Leo for Beijing.
What a cly kid. He really gets it. Humble even in a DOMINATING victory. Loving on the crowd, "giving them a good show," and absolutely controlling everything from wire to wire.
well, any american, that is.
