I wonder if Flotrack has enough bandwidth to handle this broadcast tonight. This quite possibly could be the biggest thing Flotrack has ever done, judging by the sheer number of responses below.
I'm excited!
David Torrence is got a lot of drive and a lot of heart. The guy needs this real bad.Badder than a baker needs dough, badder than a doctor needs patients.3:58.81. He ran pretty good indoors. Now is the time to prove your worth.
Thanks PUMA.

This is an American Mile. Hopefully all entered are Americans.
God Bless America.
Mt. SAC Relays is the best !
I have looked into the book of life. The book where time is neither finite nor infinite, but continious. Tim has already run this time and my shoes have already been sent. It is, is going to be, and has been written.

Wait a minute. A PUMA Rep is in the race? What is that?
I didn't think Torrence would be in this because he stated in his blog that he was looking for more than just gear and a little travel money. I say Torrence in 3:59.18
The field is set and a contract will be on the line. Tomorrow night the winner of the first ever PUMA Unattached Mile will be crowned with a 1-yr contract. There is also a little more fun involved....a prediction contest. Predict the winner of the mile and the winning time to win a new pair of PUMA trainers (a new shoe that won't be released until this summer) and a PUMA track suit.
The race will be aired LIVE on Flotrack tomorrow night so get your predictions in BEFORE the race (7:30pm PST/10:30pm EST).
The Mt. SAC Relays start tonight at 5:30pm with the steeples and 10Ks so tune in as we'll try to go LIVE this evening.
Hope that track suit fits, you lucky bastard.
how is this not gambling on athletics? couldn't the winner of this contest get busted by NCAA? I'm sure they could.
