His times are great but after hearing him talk in the interview I respect him as running a 10k in 39 Minutes.

There's a lot of controversy over whether he is a pro or an NCAA athlete. Technically, he follows the NCAA rules, but does he actually train w. the team? Or does he train with his Pro teammates?

The only weird thing are the strange criticisms from posters...says more about them than it does Galen.

Why does everyone bash America's top athletes when they have a bad day, or a day you may see to be as "not up to par?" Do we forget that they too are human? What Rupp, Oregon, Webb, Ritz, Hall, are all doing is impressive this year, we should be celebrating their accomplishments and be satisfied with the ground they have been covering, I don't care how far they have to go. They don't need your bad attitudes, and neither does American distance running. Go USA.

He's still just a kid, and he just finished a race... he's got all those cameras in his face and he's exhausted! I'm sure if that were any of us, we would look really weird and awkward also

The person who gave the anonymous 12:18 message needs to clean up the language and step onto the track and show us real fast running!

Kid is still a... No one remembers when this kid was poppin' his collar after pac-10's do they... His head got a little big and this race just goes to show that on any given day your PR means nothing... I'm happy to see him humbled a little..He's still impressive though.
