B 800 H02 3A 2008 Washington State Track and Field Championships

Ya, his right shoe has a huge long rip on the side. I think he is fine now, but he was mad for so long after that. It sucked more when someone hit our 4*400 and made one of them fall. Kyle had a bad first time at state.

Was at meet and then watched race video. I agree w/CS, Mellander fell hard w/o stumbling forward as if over leaning to the tape. So unlucky. If it had happened just a stride further, he would have crossed on the fall and onto the finals, where he had a legitimate shot to win. Hopefully he gets over it, trains hard, and stays healthy to give it another try next year. He's got the athletic ability to run a 54...maybe faster?

Mellander's right foot was clipped by the guy on his right. You can tell because his right foot, and the other guys left foot sync and he crashes. If he had just lost his balance it wouldn't have been so sudden.
