you know lagat closed in about 1:46 his last 800 in the 2004 olympic 1500 final. pretty sure he can go 1:46 in an open 800 any day of the week. granted, that was 5 years ago, but i think he's just as good as he's ever been.

BERNARD LAGAT IS MY HERO! I TRIED TO RUN A 3000 ONCE CUZ HES MY IDOL. ND NOW HES RUNNIN THE 800! MY EVENTS R THE 800 ND 1500, THANX LAGAT, U'VE INSPIRED ME EVEN MORE!
