Interesting comments to be sure. Knowing something about this coach and these boys....it might be of value to know that #2 runner was running with a viral respiratory illness and asthma, a combo that makes it difficult to do much beyond finish.He ran to support the team not bag a top time. #1 and #2 are usually capable of much faster but this was not the time to do it. The rest of the boys are seeking to peak when it matters most: end of October. And yes I heard speculation that this course was rather long as it was put together at the last minute because the old course could not be used due to addition of fences and parking lots. None of the runners like this course as it is admittedly not a tru XC course you'd expect in Maine but what else can you do in the city?

I think the guys filming in the cart(and the cart its self) was a distraction.Taylor almost tweeked his ankle on the last mile.I also heard speculation the course was almost 3.2 miles.Last year it was a 3 mile course and the times were still on the high side.Hey Kunal...i heard its gonna be in the 70's out there this week,better wear a sweater.

maybe the first team wasnt even trying the first guy looked pretty solid like a regular run or something

kunal sampat the two runners at the front have ran much faster times than that, they were def. not trying their hardest, so you can't really say they're arent fast

Kunal Sampat: 7:54 4x800 with 3 juniors is a slow team? And the course is being re-evaluated for its length obviously because the second place finisher has run 9:24 for the two mile and ran 4:29 as a freshmen. So why don't you get your facts straight before you call a team slow, the courses in maine are so much harder then anything you could dream up in california.

I was experiencing excruciating pain when watching this video.

private schools usually are a bit slower than public ususlly because they have less student body to pull from. However, the teams are more well packed than most public high schools. But this video makes me miss the New England fall.

i'm not gonna lie, these teams are pretty slow....and one of them is ranked 2 in their state?!?
