For the first time since signing World bronze medalist Andre De Grasse, Puma featured the sprint star alongside six-time Olympic Champion Usain Bolt and fellow Jamaican World Champion Asafa Powell in a commercial.
The commercial is titled, “Turn It On,” and begins with Bolt waking up, getting a call, putting on his Puma shoes and running out the door. But the sequence proves to be a continuous dream within a dream. It features De Grasse and Powell during an outdoor party segment and later on the starting line of a race in Jamaica, all the while Bolt is watching from various sidelines in confusion until he wakes up.
Bolt recently informed Jamaican network 1Spot Media that his coach Glen Mills thinks he could compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He announced last Feb. that 2017 would likely be his final season, but as of late, he is open to competing in a fifth Olympic Games.
De Grasse decided to forgo his remaining NCAA eligibility at USC and signed with Puma in Nov. 2015. Since signing with Puma, De Grasse moved to Phoenix, Arizona to train with Altis, a training center that hosts a wide variety of Olympic and World medalists.
