Fields Announced for IAAF World Half Marathon Championships
Mo Farah will be there. The fastest Kenyans in the world with be there. And now we know the athletes who will represent Team USA at the 2016 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on March 26.

According to USATF's webpage, the men representing the U.S. will be Jared Ward, Ben Bruce, Tim Ritchie, Scott Bauhs and Jim Spisak. The women's team features Sara Hall, Kellyn Taylor, Janet Bawcom, Brianne Nelson and Hillary Montgomery.

Ward, Bruce, Ritchie, Bauhs, Hall, Taylor, Bawcom and Nelson are all coming off a marathon at the U.S. Olympic Trials. 25-year-old Spisak and recent Texas A&M grad Montgomery recently raced to personal bests at the Houston Half Marathon, where Spisak ran 1:02:26 for sixth-place, and Montgomery finished in 1:10:49 for seventh.

Farah will have his hands full with reigning World half marathon/cross country champion Geoffrey Kamworwor, who finished just behind the double Olympic champion in the 10,000m race at the world championships this summer. Kamworwor holds a personal best of 58:54, Farah 59:22.

The IAAF World Half Marathon Championships will take place in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday afternoon with the women's race beginning at 8:35am CST.
