The future of our sport, the young track and field stars ranging from age 5 to 18 at the AAU level hit the track this weekend in hopes to qualify for the AAU Regional Qualifiers, the next stepping stone on the path to the ultimate goal of making it to the AAU Junior Olympics in Ypsilanti, Michigan, July 29th - August 5th.

AAU Southwestern District Qualifier - June 9-11

Sean Hooper of Keller Fossil Ridge is scheduled to compete in the 17-18 boys 200m, 400m, and 800m this weekend at the AAU Southwestern District Qualifier.

Hooper who just completed his senior year was the UIL 6A state champ in the 200m and the runner-up in the 400m. Last season, Hooper won the AAU national title in the 17-18 boys 400m. He is scheduled to run unattached, just as he did last season.

From in Burleson High School in Burleson, Texas starting at 8am ET on Friday, and 8:30am ET on both Saturday and Sunday with a rolling schedule.
