The Rich Get Richer: Oregon Adds Top International Transfer
The Oregon men have added an impact international transfer to their upcoming 2017-18 roster, with the addition of 21-year-old James West from Loughborough, UK.

West recently finished sixth in the 1500m final at the British Athletics Championships, just behind Olympian Charlie Grice.

West had a strong year on the track, running three personal bests including a 3:39.65 in the 1500m, which ranks second in the NCAA among 2018 returners behind New Mexico's Josh Kerr.

West's 2017 Season Bests:
800: 1:49.03 (Ranks 44th among 2018 returners)
1500: 3:39.65 (Ranks 2nd among 2018 returners)
3000: 7:58.94 (Ranks 20th among 2018 returners)
5000: 14:01.37 (Ranks 56th among 2018 returners)

West joins Dartmouth fifth-year transfer Connor Clark and two blue-chip high school recruits in Reed Brown and Cooper Teare in Oregon's recruiting class, giving the Ducks a strong contingent to maintain podium contender status despite the graduation of 17-time NCAA champion Edward Cheserek.
