Since the meet’s inception, the Payton Jordan Invitational has been a haven for distance runners seeking fast times. This year is no exception with collegians and professionals flocking to Palo Alto, California, in search of quality competition and ideal weather. 

Here are five confidence picks for Thursday night's meet.  

Confidence Picks presented by Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans

  • Justyn Knight’s magic on Stanford track continues as he breaks the 5000m collegiate record of 13:08.28. 

  • Paul Chelimo comfortably beats his lifetime best in the 1500m of 3:39.33.

  • Ednah Kurgat chops five seconds off her personal best of 15:19.03 in the 5000m to move into the NCAA top 10 all-time in the event.

  • Shadrack Kipchirchir takes victory in the men’s 10,000m over a strong field.  

  • Both Ingebrigtsens (Henrik and Jakob) place in the top five in the men’s 1500m.
