In a race that featured professional runners from Bowerman Track Club in Ryan Hill and Mo Ahmed, as well as top NCAA athletes like Ole Miss' Craig Engels and Oklahoma State's Joshua Thompson -- it was NCAA indoor champion Josh Kerr who came out victorious, running the 6th fastest collegiate mark all-time in 3:35.99.
