June 1, Prefontaine Classic - 1:59.51 to break HS and USA JR record.

June 22, USA Outdoor Champs - Resounding pick to make the world championship team. 

June 22, USA Outdoor Champs - First 17-year old since Jim Ryun (1964) to qualify for a Team USA middle distance spot with 2nd place finish.

July 28, London Diamond League  - The only momemnt we thought "Okay, she might be a little over her head in the pro ranks


August 11, Moscow IAAF World Champs - Auto-qualifies out of first round.

Post-race Interview: This embodies why we think Cain is going to be great. It's one thing to run fast times early, but Cain's attitude towards the pursuit of greatness is what will ultimately lead the way for continued success in US women's distance running. No longer is it just "an honor to be out there with such talented women." It's a "Why not me? Why wouldn't I be able to be the best in the world?" attitude.
