Ritzenhein withdraws from Boston
Nike Oregon Project runner Dathan Ritzenhein has withdrawn from the 2014 Boston Marathon due to injury, according to the Boston Marathon's official Twitter page. Moses Mosop has also scratched from the race.Ryan Hall and Abdi Abdirahman have been added to the field.
"“I am very disappointed to withdraw from this year's Boston Marathon,” says Ritzenhein. “A groin injury this winter has kept me from doing the training it takes to run with the best in the world," Ritzenhein said in the Boston Marathon press release. "April 21st will be a show of strength and community after last year's events and I wanted so badly to be part of that. But I am resilient and will be back.”
