Kaylin Whitney, the IAAF World Junior triple medalist, has signed a professional contract with Nike, as first reported by Todd Grasley of FLRunners.com, a MileSplit affiliate.

Whitney announced on January 13, 2015 that she would forego her high school eligibility and train with the Star Athletics Club. She is coached by three-time Olympic medalist Dennis Mitchell. At the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Whitney won the 200m title and was a member of the 4x100m gold medal team. She also won bronze in the 100.

She holds personal bests of 11.10 for 100m and 22.49 for 200m, both World U-18 Records.
