In the second weekend of competitive indoor competition, the pros as well as the college standouts showed their fitness in the early phases of track season. Check out our top picks from the weekend in this week’s FloAwards:

Flo Performance

Patrick Corona (Air Force)

The senior threw down a huge personal best in the mile on Saturday at the Air Force Invitational where he ran a 3:59.77 (altitude converted). Corona ran an official winning time of 4:09.19, but the altitude conversion in Colorado Springs equated to the second sub-four minute mile of the year. Corona's performance happened just an hour after Jonah Koech's sub-four race in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Corona's performance also broke the meet record. Prior to the weekend, Corona’s personal best in the mile was 4:05.

Felicia Brown (Tennessee)

The senior from Tennessee ran a personal best and a world leading mark in the 200m at the Conference Clash in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday. Brown ran 22.88, which also broke the school record set by All American Courtney Champion in 2007. She gathered momentum in the first round of the meet when she ran 23.13 to improve upon her previous personal best. But the final was when she truly shined with the world leading time.

Filip Mihaljevic (Virginia)

It was a great weekend for the Virginia throws squad, highlighted by Filip Mihaljevic’s school record throw of 20.69m in the shot put, which also earned him an Olympic standard and the ACC record. The sophomore beat his previous personal best by 3’ 5.25.”

Flo Elite

Kim Conley (New Balance)

A week after winning the women’s 3K at the Washington Preview, Kim Conley returned to competition to post a world lead in the mile at the New Balance Games in New York. Conley ran her way to a personal best of 4:27 and a competitive win against Kate Grace and Stephanie Garcia.

Trayvon Bromell (New Balance)

World bronze medalist Trayvon Bromell popped off a world lead of 6.54 at the Rod McCravy Memorial on Saturday. The mark stands as a new personal best for the former Baylor Bear and double NCAA Champion.

Kendra Harrison (adidas)

Harrison posted two personal bests in one day at the Rod McCravy Memorial with a 7.86 in the 60m hurdle preliminaries and a 7.83 in the final. The time from her final victory stands as a world lead and an impressive start to the 2016 indoor season for the former Kentucky NCAA Champion.

Flo Frosh

Jonah Koech (UTEP)

The freshman from Kenya made a statement at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invitational when he ran his way to a converted sub-four minute mile. The 19-year-old ran an unconverted time of 4:05.26 in Albuquerque to crush the rest of the field and become the second athlete of 2016 to break the mile barrier. His official winning time converts to 3:59.92 because of the altitude in the New Mexico city.

Kate Hall (Iowa State)

The high school sensation did not disappoint in her first college meet as Saturday’s Big 4 Dual was an impressive double victory against conference competition. Hall won her preliminary of the 60m in 7.40 and returned to not only beat Iowa’s Lake Kwaza, but also win in a personal best of 7.30, which stands as the second fastest time in school history and the eighth-fastest mark in the NCAA so far this year. She also captured a victory in the long jump at the same meet.

Bria Matthews (Georgia Tech)

The 19-year-old exploded in just the third meet of her college career at the Conference Clash/Power 5 Invitational. Matthews jumped 13.33m, which set a CrossPlex venue record and stands as the second best jump in the NCAA so far this season. Matthews also competed in the 60m dash where she ran 7.83.

Flo Prep

Conor Lundy (Fordham Prep)

Lundy made the most out of an unfortunate situation on Sunday when the high school mile was canceled and he jumped into the pro mile at the Armory. Lundy ran his way to a 4:08 finishing time, which stands as a new personal best and catapulted him as the national leader in the mile. According to MileSplit NY, the performance marks the third fastest indoor mile in New York state history.
