Notre Dame's Molly Seidel officially announced on Twitter that she will not be competing at NCAAs this outdoor season. Seidel who was coming off of four straight championship titles developed a sacral stress fracture after the indoor season. After scratching the Payton Jordan 10K, the ACC Championships were her last opportunity to run a regional qualifying mark. Ultimately, Seidel did not start at ACCs officially ending her NCAA season.

Seidel is eligible to race the 5K at the U.S. Olympic Trials and it is unknown whether she will return for a redshirt 5th year in 2017.
