Ezekiel Kemboi, winner of two Olympic titles and four world championship gold medals in the 3000m steeplechase, finished third behind Conseslus Kipruto and Evan Jager in Wednesday's Olympic final. Armed with a bronze medal, the steeple GOAT announced his retirement immediately after the race.

But hours later, it was revealed that Kemboi had been disqualified for running inside the curve at the water jump at least once. The French team filed the protest, and France's Mahiedine Mekhissi Benabbad was upgraded to bronze.

Kemboi took to Facebook to reverse his retirement and his reveal plan to avenge his medal from the French at the 2017 World Championships in London.

"I had opted to retire right after the Olympics only if I had come home with this medal....now I feel that I have to bring back this medal not by protesting again but right on track. Kemboi is not retired. I will be coming to London 2017 to re-claim my medal from France. No limits."
