Keep refreshing this page for LIVE UPDATES of the 2016 Brussels Diamond League, the final track meet of the year!

Women's 400m Hurdles:
This will be the first track event beginning at 1:04PM CST. Eilidh Doyle of Great Britain is leading the Diamond Race with 36 points, while American Cassandra Tate is in second with 30 points. And through halfway it's going to be Tate around the bend. But 100m to go and it's a kicking race! But Tate wins! 54.47 for a season best and a Diamond League WIN!

Women's 100m: Olympic Champion and bonafide superstar Elaine Thompson wins in a new meet record of 10.72 (+0.6) over Dafne Schippers (10.97). Thompson won from the gun (I got rhymes) and obliterated the competition.

Women's 400m: Next event on the track will begin shortly! 800m Olympic Champion Caster Semenya is in the field, as are Natasha Hastings and Courtney Okolo. Okolo led through 300m and looked so strong but NO! Semenya denies her victory! The 800m runner dips down to 400m and wins in 50.40, her FIRST international 400m appearance and PB. Okolo finished in 50.51, with Jamaican Stephanie Ann McPherson taking third and winning the Diamond League crown.

Men's 110m Hurdles: Spain's Orlando Ortega overcame France's Pascal Martinot-Lagarde over the final two hurdles to win in 13.08! He takes the Diamond League crown with 60 points.

Women's 5000m:
And the world record attempt is off! Prescribed paces: 2:50 through 1000m, 5:40 through 2000m, 8:30 through 3000m and 11:20 through 4000m. Almaz Ayana sitting behind the pacers. They're a little off pace. Will get you a split ASAP. 5:49 through 2000m, last split 2:55 for the K. Ayana behind the pacer with three athletes in tow. Shannon Rowbury in the chase pack. 3000m split: 8:45 for Ayana. NO WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT. Hellen Obiri, Senbere Teferi and Etenesh Diro behind Ayana. Rowbury sits in seventh. Now the race is spread out, Ayana opening up a gap. Rowbury sits in 6th, almost 200m behind Ayana. "If only those middle laps were a little bit quicker," Yeah I agree, announcers. RESULT: Ayana finishes in 14:18, threw in a 65 second eighth lap to get things going but couldn't quite make up for the slower laps. Still a solid time. SHANNON ROWBURY BROKE THE AMERICAN RECORD! 14:38.92! WOW! She ran her race when all the crazy was going on. Excellent. Moved up two places to finish fifth.

Women's 100m Hurdles: A field with only ONE American?! That's how you know the season is coming to an end... Most of the American sprinters have raced SO MUCH this season. Plus, this wasn't an official Diamond League event. But Jasmin Stowers takes the win in 12.78.

Men's 1500m
: IS NEXT! Trying to get into sub 3:30 territory. Pacers are OUT and Asbel Kiprop slides into third. HE WANTS IT! He's the third fastest all-time LET'S GO! Looking for a 55-second first lap, and the pacers are out in 53.7, Kiprop around 54 seconds. But now Rotich, Kiptoo and Makhloufi then Kiprop. 1:50.64 through 800m. Not superb pacemaking. Odd. Makhloufi leading into the bell, Kiprop sits in fourth. Mad dash over the final 150m. 55 second last lap compared to the 59 second third lap WHAT?! Timothy Cheruiyot wins in 3:31.34.

Men's 200m: Julian Forte of Jamaica and Adam Gemili of Great Britain both ran 19.97! They give the win to Forte, and both athletes ran personal bests.

Men's Steeplechase: Conseslus Kipruto and Evan Jager are back at it again! Stay tuned! Kipruto and Jager tucked in behind the pacers, single file racing going on. So you know it's good. They're supposed to go out in 2:37 for 1000m, 5:18 for 2000m. Pacer goes 2:39 through 1000m. Then complete wipes out! Four laps to go, Kipruto and Jager are BATTLING. Separating themselves from the pack. Well if there's one thing I know, it's that Jager is SO much better at hurdling than Kipruto. Three laps to go. 5:21 through 2000m. They must have slowed because Jager finished second in 8:04. Bummer.

Women's Pole Vault: Sandi Morris has been on a TEAR all meet long! She just cleared 4.94m, a NEW OUTDOOR AMERICAN RECORD!

Men's 800m: Alfred Kipketer, Pierre Ambroise-Bosse, Clayton Murphy, Ferguson Rotich, Amel Tuka + more. Bram Som pacing, Bett into second and Murphy on his outside. Som a little ways ahead, hits 400m in 50.70 and the field around 51 seconds. Murphy leading the pack now! Bett and Kipketer pass Murphy with 150m to go. Everyone sprints and swings wide! Adam Kszczot of Poland wins in 1:44.36. Not v fast.

Men's 400m: Final event on the track, not a Diamond League event but a fun 400m race. Santos wins in 45.02 with all three Borlee brothers finishing 2, 3 and 4.
