Marquise Goodwin made his return to the NFL by scoring an 84-yard touchdown for the Buffalo Bills and celebrating with a long jump in the end zone. His performance brought Buffalo ahead of the New York Jets with a score of 6-3 in the first quarter of Thursday night's game.

Goodwin, who finished seventh in the long jump at the Olympic Trials in July, plays as a wide receiver. He made the 2012 Olympic team after winning the Olympic Trials and went on to finish 10th at the London Games.

After sitting out of track competition for three years to focus on football, Goodwin made his return to the long jump in June of 2015 when he finished fourth at the USATF Outdoor Championships. He continued his momentum in the 2016 football off-season by setting the then-world lead and a huge personal best of 8.45m in May.

Although he missed making the Olympic team in Rio, Goodwin has never been shy about track being his favorite sport. When asked which sport he would rather participate in if the pay were equal, Goodwin told Emily Kaplan of TheMMQB.com that he would choose track.

"I would definitely do track and field, man. Football was my opportunity to advance my life, kind of get a head start on life and kind of put my family in a position to where they wouldn't want for as much," Goodwin said.

"I felt like track and field wouldn't grant me that opportunity, being that I had a greater chance at making the amount of money that I do playing football, as opposed to going to track and field, and I would make it a lot sooner. Not saying I wouldn't make it in track and field, but I would make it pretty much at a guaranteed rate in football."

Fellow Olympian and football star Devon Allen also paid homage to his track event by doing hurdle drills after scoring a touchdown for the Oregon Ducks on Sunday.
