The beer mile is going next level.

Former beer mile world record-holder and 2015 world champion Lewis Kent unveiled a custom beer mile shoe created by Brooks on Wednesday. The announcement comes just in time for the third annual FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships on Saturday.

The innovative shoe and apparel brand had two elite athletes compete in the first ever world championships in 2014--Nick Symmonds and Katie Mackey. Before the 2015 championships, Brooks signed Lewis Kent as the first beer miler in history under a professional contract. The deal came at the perfect time for both Brooks and Kent as the sponsorship took place days before Kent made his television debut on the Ellen Show and won his first world championship.

Kent of course won't be the only beer miler toeing the line on Saturday with a shoe deal.

Last week, beer mile world record-holder Corey Bellemore signed an endorsement deal with adidas, becoming the second beer mile athlete to be under a professional contract.

Earlier this week, 2014 beer mile world champion Corey Gallagher unveiled a pretty slick line of Nike gear that he will be wearing this weekend.

There have been no reports of an endorsement deal between the 2014 world champion and Nike.

The announcement marks the second shoe company that Gallagher has represented in his third year competing at the championships. He wore Under Armour gear while winning the 2014 championships.
