Florida sophomore Tyrese Cooper lowered his own national high school record in the 300m today from 33.03 to a mind-boggling 32.87 at the Armory Track Invitational in New York. The time is also a world record for U20 athletes according to Track & Field News, though there is no all-time performer list in the event. Cooper was also sixth in the Developmental 60m with a time of 6.79 and third in the Developmental 200m in 21.28, both of which rank No. 3 in the nation this year. The second-fastest performer in prep history is Michael Cherry, whose 33.05 national record stood from 2013 until January of this year.
