FloTrack, the leader in live digital track & field and running broadcasts, will be the home for international viewers to watch the 121st edition of the Boston Marathon next Monday, April 17. The live stream on FloTrack will be available here to viewers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. The elite women's race begins at 9:32 am EST and the elite men's race kicks off at 10:00 am EST.

The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon; the inaugural event was held in 1897 and yielded just 10 finishers. Now, the event commonly referred to as simply "Boston" is one of the most prestigious 26.2-mile races in the world.

"We are excited to bring the world's most prestigious marathon to international viewers for the first time ever on FloTrack," said Ryan Fenton, FloTrack General Manager. "The Boston organizers have once again done an amazing job at putting together some unbelievable fields and we look forward to enhancing the worldwide exposure of this year's races."

The international field is as strong as ever, and includes men's defending champion, Lemi Berhanu Hayle of Ethiopia, as well as 2012 champion Wesley Korir of Kenya, 2015 runner-up Yemane Tsegaye of Ethiopia and 2014 runner-up Wilson Chebet of Kenya, among others. Rio Olympic silver medalist Galen Rupp of the Nike Oregon Project will also make his Boston debut. Rupp will be joined by his Team USA Olympic teammates, Meb Keflezighi and Jared Ward.

Keflezighi pulled heartstrings in 2014, when he became the first American to win the event since 1983, and did it the year after the fatal bombings of 2013. Keflezighi will race in what he has said will be his "last Boston."

The women's international field also includes the defending champion, Atsede Baysa of Ethiopia, plus 2014 champion and course record holder Buzunesh Deba of Kenya and 2015 champion Caroline Rotich of Kenya.

The top American prospects for the Patriot's Day race include two-time Olympian Desi Linden of Brooks, who was runner-up here in 2011 and fourth in 2015, as well as the Nike Oregon Project's Jordan Hasay, a former national high school record holder for 1500m who is making her 26.2 mile debut in Beantown. Hasay recently set a new half marathon PB of 1:07:55 in the Czech Republic at the Sportismo Prague Half Marathon. No American woman has won Boston since Lisa Rainsberger (nee Wiedenbach) in 1985.
