The country that won Olympic gold will not have a presence in Sunday's IAAF World Relays 4x100m final.

Team Jamaica, which consisted of Everton Clarke, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Jevaughn Minzie, and Yohan Blake did not finish heat 1 of the 4x100m preliminary. A missed exchange between Bailey-Cole and Minzie between the second and third hand-off resulted in a DNF for the Jamaican team Saturday night in Nassau, Bahamas.

After the race, Clarke referred to the hand-off as a "misunderstanding" by the teammates.

With various relay team members, Jamaica has claimed 4x100m victories for the past two Olympics Games.

Sunday's relay final will include Canada, the United States, Great Britain, the Netherlands, China, Australia, France, and Barbados.
