MSU Junior Patrick Casey has announced that he will be transfering to the University of Oklahoma. Patrick has continually impressed over his last two years with PR's of 1:47, 3:41, 3:54 (mile-altitude converted) and 8:09 for 3k. Patrick has especially shined in the indoor mile where he has been able to run sub 4 at Bozman's altitude of 4793 feet. Casey earned all-american honors finishing 3rd in mile indoors in 2010 as a redshirt freshman and 8th in the 1500 at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Casey, who is currently a redshirt Junior, will join an everly increasingly deep Sooner Mid Distance squad, which also includes University of Maine transfer Riley Masters. Masters confirmed his transfer to Oklahoma a little less than a month ago on December 15th. All of a sudden Oklahoma looks pretty strong in that DMR for indoors!
