Vanessa Fraser, Seven-Time NCAA All-American, Signs With Saucony
Vanessa Fraser has decided her next move after leaving the Bowerman Track Club: she's signing with Saucony.
Vanessa Fraser shook up her life a little over six months ago.
The 28-year-old decided to leave the Bowerman Track Club, which signed her in 2018 from Stanford University after she collected seven NCAA All-American finishes, in favor of pursuing a career opportunity with a venture capital firm in the Bay Area.
But that was also long enough to figure out her next move.
Fraser is signing with Saucony on Friday morning, FloTrack has learned.
The Scotts Valley, California native, who is currently based in San Francisco and trains with the Boulder, Colorado-based Team Boss, has clocked career outdoor PRs of 4:09 for 1,500m and 31:52 for 10,000 meters, while she's added bests of 8:51 for 3,000 meters and 14:48 for 5,000 meters indoors.
At Stanford, she was a Pac-12 champion in the 10K and set a school record in the 5K at 15:09.
In an Instagram post on March 8, Fraser wrote, "Running has granted the audacity to dream big, the discipline to work hard, the courage to show up. The joy in victory and the humility in defeat. Best of all—my most cherished friendships in my life. And so, no matter the outcome, the pursuit of my fastest self will always be worth it.”
"Vanessa joins the Saucony roster as a world-class talent with unlimited potential," said Ted Fitzpatrick, Saucony's vice president of product and sports marketing.
"Already, she's had immense success on the track and is looking forward to setting new PRs as well as bringing that speed to the roads."
Fraser will train in the Endorphin PRO 4.
