Kendal Williams over Trayvon Bromell at World Juniors
Incoming Florida State freshman Kendal Williams shocked the world in July when he upset fellow Team USA sprinter Trayvon Bromell in the 100m final at the IAAF World Junior Championships. Williams’ time of 10.21 was a PR, and earned the first gold for Team USA at the championships. Bromell had just won the 100m title at NCAAs for Baylor, running a wind legal 9.97 in the final to become the first junior to break 10 seconds.

Williams victory over the NCAA champion suggests that a rivalry could be in the making between these two sprint stars. The fastest junior in history and the world junior champion will be a match-up to watch for several years to come.
