Miles Unterreiner's Academic and Athletic Worlds Collide
Stanford senior Miles Unterreiner was featured on November 12, 2012, in the San Jose Mercury News with one of the toughest conflicts a collegiate athlete could face. He is scheduled to interview for the Rhodes scholarship as part of the application process and is also running the NCAA Championships in Louisville as part of the #3 ranked Cardinal squad. Unfortunately the race falls on the same day as the Rhodes interview in Seattle.
Unterreiner is a vital part of the Stanford team that is looking for its first national titles since 2003. Stanford dominated the west regional, and Unterreiner was 16th overall. His 13:50/28:49 credentials and senior experience could be very important in a tight team race.
