The Weekend Recap: Steeple Fall of the Year Candidate and Summer Anticipation
Similar to last week, this recap has come down to the wire. This week has been sort of crazy: Alex is flying back from Dartmouth where he may or may not have filmed some top U.S. 5000m athletes, Ryan finally decided to come home after spending six days in Park City, UT with the Nike Oregon Project, and I packed up all of our equipment from the Texas State Meet.

It may be Wednesday afternoon, but it’s never too late for The Weekend Recap.

We’ve just named a small fraction of the people who made the weekend exciting, which means we’ve left out many more. Did we miss anything? Email us.

Before we start, the video of the week was sent to us last night from Calhoun High School’s Zach Toner. We’ve had some good steeplechase videos sent to us this spring, but could this be our Steeplechase Fall of the Year winner?

Editor’s Note: I can’t confirm this, but I think the runner in the video is from Massapequa High School. You may remember Massapequa from such steeple classics such as "The Infamous Steeplechase Fall". What’s kind of eerie is that both of these videos are from tracks that I ran on in high school. Then there’s this classic, which is from my alma mater, The University of Delaware. The world works in mysterious ways.
