Boys HS Team Rankings - Week 4
Boys HS Team Rankings - Week 4
The Brentwood trio and Illinois is still a battleground
Most of the top squads rested their varsity runners after a week of heavy action last week, but a few definitely came out swinging! Brentwood (TN) won the Great American with an amazing top-3 finish of 2-3-5! This great effort earned them 99 points for a 71 point victory over second place and their top two snagged berths in the individual rankings as a result. St. Xavier (KY) joins their namesake from OH in the rankings at #10 after finishing a solid second, well ahead of other ranked squads including Tatnall (DE), O'Hara (PA), Saratoga Springs (NY) and Broughton (NC). Can you say loaded race?!
Dana Hills (CA) have run impressively over several weeks time and have moved into the rankings at #7. Hinsdale Catholic (IL) and York (IL) battled last week in a duel where York got the better of them 23 to 32. It is certainly going to be exciting watching these two teams duke it out the rest of the season.
Also looking good this week was Central Catholic (OR), #20 this week, as they dominated a flighted meet over the weekend. Top-10 squad North Allegheny (PA) also continued to look strong, winning the Pittsburgh Central Catholic meet with 37 points.
As the season rolls along we will surely see other teams rise up in a bid to become one of the nation's best.
Stay tuned each week as we bring you the Saucony Elite 50 Team Boys every Thursday morning!
