Lagat Headlines IAAF Continental Cup Roster

Bernard Lagat
will lead the defending champion Americas team in the IAAF Continental Cup that will be held in Marrakech, Morocco on September 13-14.

The 39-year-old Lagat returns to run the 3000m, the same event which he won in 2010 in Split, Croatia. At that meet, Lagat won both the 3000m and 5000m.

Other notable Americans that will compete for the Americas team are Lashawn Merritt (400m), Leo Manzano (1500m), and Evan Jager (3kSt). Notable women’s team members include Ajee Wilson (800m), Shannon Rowbury (1500m), and Emma Coburn (3kSt).
