Sukhi Khosla won the Boys 3200m at the FSU Relays in 9:03.57
A dreaded false-start kept the fastest NCAA 100m man of all-time from making his 2015 outdoor debut in the distance, but the Florida State Relays still provided plenty of fireworks without former Seminole star Ngoni Makusha running in the premiere sprinting event in Tallahassee. Makusha, owner of a 9.89 PB, jumped the gun too soon on Friday afternoon and was unfortunately disqualified from the race.
After the restart, former Florida State All-American Kemar Hyman won the men’s 100m dash in 10.34.

In other races, the men’s 4x100m relay was won by an unattached squad of former Florida State athletes in 39.99, but the real story was Florida State’s Trentavis Friday pulling up in the second leg of the Seminoles relay team. Friday, the World junior champion in the 200m and the 4x100m in 2014, grabbed his hamstring mid-way through his leg and stopped short of handing the baton off to his teammate. The Florida State sophomore figures to contend for an NCAA title later this season in the 200m, so his health is a tremendous concern for the Seminoles.
The boys 3,200m race was touted as the top distance event of the evening, and it did not disappoint, as pre-race favorite Sukhi Khosla of Leon (FL) ran the #5 prep time of 2015 to win in 9:03.57. Khosla did not go unchallenged, however, as Franco Martins of Windermere Prep (FL) was just .3 back in 9:03.87.
Khosla, a senior, has narrowed his college decision down to Oklahoma State and Florida State.
Winter Park (FL) freshman Rafaella Gibbons won the girls 3,200m in 10:42.20, the #9 prep time in 2015.
