We will be LIVE from Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invite for last chance action this weekend. We will start coverage at 7:00 pm EST on Friday and 12:00 pm EST on Saturday. This meet is infamous for the DMRS. Last year, the top 15 men's teams  and 7 women's teams hit the provisional mark for the DMR. In 2009, two women's teams hit the autoqualifing mark and increbible 15 men's teams hit the autoqualifying mark led by 9:29.86 from Virginia. Catch all the coverage LIVE the last weekend before NCAA indoors!

THIS WEEKEND ON FLOTRACK

This weekend is the last chance to qualify for NCAA indoors and we will be on site for the 2011 University of Washington final qualifer. Demspey is a very fast track so expect fast times.  We will also be onsite for the 2011 IC4A Indoor Championships where some of the best Northeast teams will be looking for that NCAA qualifying time. 
 
RUNNING RECAP 

Galen Rupp announced his that he will be making his debut in the half-marathon at the NYC Half in New York City on Sunday, March 20. Get all the details here

The first running of the Brooks PR meet had seven US #1s and seven US #2s. The two mile started the meet with a bang with Ammar Moussa  dropping a negative split to hit US#2 9:00.62 over Matt Jablonski US#3 9:02.51. On the women's side  Wesley Frazier took the girls 2 mile in a US#1 10:17.47. The top eight finishers were faster than the previous national leader.

 The 60 sprint was just as quick with Damiere Byrd improving his own US#1 in the 60 dash 6.70. Dezerea Bryant sprinted to a US#1 and #5 all-time 7.26 to win the girls 60m.

Keffri Neal took the boys 800 in a fast 1:50.92. Shelby Houlihan won the girl's 800m in a US#2 2:08.59.

Torrey Campbell won 60H final in 7.82, equaling the #3 time in the country. Kendell Williams won the girl's 60 hurdles in a US#2 8.44.

In the 400m, Arman Hall took the first of two final heats in the 400 with a US#1 47.45. Courtney Okoio won the girls 400 with a US#1 54.26.

Jantzen Oshier bested Elias Gedyon 4:07.52 to 4:07.58, the #2 and #3 times in the nation this indoor season for the mileAjee Wilson ( national leader at 800 meters) claimed the US#1 for the mile over super soph Amy-Eloise Neale, 4:49.48 to 4:49.58.

The MPSF Championships saw the Stanford men earn the team title with 107.5 points and the top-ranked Oregon women prevailed with 138 points. Oregon's Men ran 9:26.78 in the DMR which is the second fastest DMR in NCAA history. Chris Derrick had his first race back in the 5k. Elliot Heath won the mile. Meanwhile, Oregon duo of Jordan Hasay and Alex Kosinski took first and second in the mile. Washington Freshman, Megan Goethals won the 3k.

At the USA indoor Championships, two ARs were set; Jillian Camerena-Williams threw 19.87m in the women’s Shot Put to break the U.S. standard of 19.83 set by Ramona Pagel in 1987. Jenn Suhr cleared 4.86m to break her own record of 4.83m set in 2009. These were among seven world-leading marks in the two-day competition along with Mike Rodgers in the 60m (6.48), Ryan Whiting in the Shot Put (21.35m), Kellie Wells in the 60m Hurdles (7.79) Janay DeLoach in the women’s Long Jump (6.99m) and Natasha Hastings in the women’s 400m (50.83). Bernard Lagat defeated Galen Rupp in the 3k. Jenny Simpson doubled and won in the 3k and mile. 
 
 
MELBOURNE 5K 

The Melbourne 5k that happened early this morning produced 5 World "A" Standards. If you did not catch the race, check it out here
